Week 1 - Hello World

Hello! My name is Harper and I am from the DFW area. I have a strong interest in cars and photography. I love all the different types of cars there are and discussing them with my friends. Of course, I love to capture them too with my camera. I am majoring in Creative Media Industries so this course fits under that category. I have always found game design interesting so I’m looking forward to experiencing the process firsthand. I enjoy keeping up with smaller games where the developers are more upfront about the process. Honesty is very important from what I've seen in this industry. I mostly play video games, but I find analog games interesting too. My roommate in part of the chess team here at Tech and over the past week he has been explaining things about chess I never would have thought about, it is pretty cool. When playing video games I alternate between a few big ones such as Minecraft. Minecraft is still one of my favorites because of how open it is and I love architecture too. I have been building a college campus inspired by TTU on and off over the past year. Forza Horizon is a favorite too because, well, cars. Sometimes it is nice to sit back and play a racing game. There are also plenty of cool simulators that can be a blast to play such as a car and engine designer I have put many hours into.
